2009 ENERGY STAR® PARTNER OF THE YEAR

BRENTWOOD, NY – March 2, 2009 – SATCO Products, Inc., a manufacturer of high quality lighting products, announced today it has received the prestigious 2009 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year award in the lighting manufacturing category.  The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recognized SATCO, and its NUVO Lighting brand, for promoting energy efficiency and offering consumers lighting technology that is economical as well.  SATCO‘s accomplishments will be recognized at an awards ceremony in Washington, D.C. on March 31, 2009.

ENERGY STAR is a joint DOE-EPA program, formed in 1992 as a voluntary, market-based partnership that seeks to reduce air pollution through increased energy efficiency.  The DOE and EPA work to offer businesses and consumers energy-efficient solutions to save energy and money, while also helping to protect our environment.  The 2009 Partner of the Year Awards are given to manufacturers and retailers that successfully promote and deliver ENERGY STAR qualified products, saving consumers money and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Award winners are selected from more than 12,000 organizations that participate in the ENERGY STAR program.

SATCO Products, Inc. Announces the Addition
of Hygrade Lamp Company Personnel and Distribution Centers

Brentwood, New York, November 18, 2008 – SATCO Products Incorporated today announced that it has recently added several distribution centers and key personnel of the former Hygrade Lamp Company.

With the addition of resources from the Hygrade Lamp Company, SATCO now warehouses and ships products from New York, Miami, Dallas, San Francisco, Seattle, San Juan, Charlotte, Nashville, Memphis, Chicago, St. Louis, Los Angeles, Portland, Syracuse, Denver, Jackson, MS & Cincinnati, OH .

This growth will enhance SATCO’s sales and distribution network, product offering and expertise. The former executives of Hygrade, Gary Siegal and Chris Siegal have a long family history in the lamp industry that dates back nearly one century with the family’s earlier companies, Marvel and Supreme Lighting. Both Gary and Chris Siegal, along with Hygrade’s former National Sales Manager, Bill Nanke and others from the company have joined the SATCO organization.

Company News – January 2007:

Satco Products is proud to announce the opening of our NEW state of the art 6200 square foot showroom at the DMC (#4942).  With the addition of Nuvo Lighting to Satco’s product assortment and the opportunity in the expanded section at the DMC, the time was right to show ourselves as a complete one stop shop. 

The showroom will feature a complete assortment of the Nuvo product line along with a large sampling of products that Satco has to offer.  Also, a computer system enabling customers to write orders with hand held scanners will simplify the order writing process from beginning to end.  Three conference rooms will allow our customers the time and comfort to review orders, discuss future opportunities or any current pending business.  Six plasma tv’s will be situated throughout the showroom demonstrating the benefits of being part of the Satco family.
